(ANSA) - ROMA, 09 GIU - At the invitation of the Secretary General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, Marcin Czepelak, the Ambassador of Italy to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Augusto Massari, paid a visit to the Peace Palace in The Hague, the historical seat of the Court and symbol of multilateral diplomacy. The meeting took place in an atmosphere of lively cordiality and allowed for a fruitful exchange on the activities and development prospects of the CPA, an intergovernmental body founded in 1899 with the aim of promoting the peaceful settlement of international disputes. The Peace Palace, inaugurated in 1913 and built thanks to the contribution of the American philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, embodies a high and shared idea of international justice, hosting - in addition to the Cpa - the International Court of Justice of the United Nations.
